The Blurt app
The Blurt desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux is proprietary software, © 2026 {Company legal name}. It's licensed to you, not sold, under our Terms of service. You may install and use it on devices you own or control. The free plan and paid plans use the same app. Paid features unlock with your account.
The command-line tool
The blurt command-line tool and the Blurt MCP server are open source under the MIT license. You're welcome to read, modify and redistribute them under that license. Source code and contribution guidelines are on GitHub.
Open-source software
Blurt includes open-source components. Each is used under its own license, and the full license texts and copyright notices ship inside the app at Settings → About → Acknowledgements and in the downloadable notices file.
